Do you have a live stream and want it look like Chris Prillio’s? You can use WebcamMax. It is a powerful tool to help you put effects over your webcam video. WebcamMax is for Windows XP and Vista.

WebcamMax is a powerful tool. It has a Mac OS X feeling to it by default. It also has some skins that come with the software.

Here are my thoughts about WebcamMax. The user interface is great. It is easy to put effects over your webcam video. It can layer your effects. This means that “effect1” can be behind “effect2”, thus creating a layered effect. The doodling feather is very good. You can draw a line, there a five widths. Then there is a paint bucket, it can fill the area where you click it. This feature is similar to Microsoft Paint.
Also there are some things that could be worked on: an RSS feed integration, a Weather Bug Widget or similar gadget, widget, or whatever you want to call it. Saving your effects setup when you quit would be a great feature. User defined presets would be nice. So you could have a one setting for stream and another for Skype, ect. The recording feature froze my computer for about twenty seconds or so. It was not that big of a deal, but it would be an improvement if it did not happen. Also auto-saving of changes in effects is another limitation of WebcamMax. Each time I closed Webcam Max I forgot to save (at time I was having the trouble, I did not know you have to hit save) WebcamMax did not save my changes I made to the effects. This was an annoyance at the time, but now it is much better. Other some times it is a good thing to have not to have the changes saved. Some transitions to the picture in picture slideshows would be nice. So the change in the rotating logos would be smoother. It is hard to move a picture in picture source when it is on top of an effect. The ability to capture screenshots of minimized windows would be nice. Also when I tried to capture all of desktop space (both monitors) my computer crashed. I tried several times and different ways and it almost always ended up in a system slow down then made me do a forced restart. When I switched source sometimes the source that I was using froze and it would not switch to one I wanted.

Over all WebcamMax is a good program. Just like all software it could use some improvements. You may get Webcam Max at www.webcammax.com.

P.S. Be sure to close some of the start-up programs, they can take up too much RAM to use this software, which may cause your computer to crash.

Somali Piracy- how can so many attacks happen?
If I am sure the you have about the Somali Pirates. One question how can so many ships be attacked? If the numbers are up why are we not stepping up support for shipping companies? No one and I NO one should be able to to this. Period. This is showing how we need to be more prepared for stuff like this.

Windows Reinstallment
